Grow Your Garden Training
As teachers, we plant a seed when we teach our students about their deen. We hope eventually this seed will grow into a deeply rooted Islamic identity and a strong faith.
In our programs, Lote Tree Learning aims to do just that by integrating Islamic concepts into our programs and teach these programs in a novel manner.
When teaching a new subject in a novel manner, you want to make sure the quality of education is maintained and the benchmarks are achieved.
That is where the teacher training comes in!
The teacher training consists of 2 hours live training, 1 hour live demonstration workshop and 1 hour live follow-up after a month. That is a total of 4 hours of live training!
Primary Level
Our History Connection series covers the ancients all the way up to the modern history and current issues. This series is intended for grade 1 through 4, which each grade covering an era. Grade 1 will cover the ancients, grade 2 middle ages, grade 3 early modern and grade 4 will cover modern history.
Each curriculum covers a full year of 30 weeks. The curriculum is gradually progressing in skills and knowledge and is packed with activities and extra resources. Islamic concepts and knowledge are integrated as part of the history content.
You will be trained on how to use our curriculum, maximize engagement with young children and how to adjust activities for different group sizes.
Grow Your Garden
Primary Level
We offer two different trainings, each corresponding with a level in our History Connections program: the Primary level (the green book series) and the Secondary level (the blue book series).
This is the training for the Primary Level.
The training includes 2 hours live online with the authors of the program to go over the program, with a second session for demo classes and role plays. In addition, we will do a follow up session after a month to allow teachers to come back with questions after implementing the program in practice.
This training covers Primary grades (grades 1-4)

- Implementation Guide
- Lesson Planning and Assessment
- Areas for customization
- Adjustments for learning difficulties
